About the Client
Our client operates in the cybersecurity industry to prevent cyber attacks by securing passwords, protecting endpoints, and controlling application access. They are one of the world’s fastest-growing IT security companies and offer their customers cloud and on-premise software solutions that can be easily implemented. The client developed a server that stores employee personally identifiable information, which makes such data confidential.
Business Challenge
The client stores customer data in their own enterprise secret vault. The customers need to securely access their employees’ login information and insert them in the necessary fields to log into the systems. In order to execute these business processes, the client utilizes robotic process automation (RPA) software instead of having to do all of the work manually. The robots who are performing the tasks are significantly more efficient and do not make mistakes.
The client wanted to use such RPA software as Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism to allow their customers to access the data on their servers. They also wanted to use ConnectWise, a remote desktop software application, to automate specific business processes. The client approached Softwarium to integrate the RPA software and products like ConnectWise and Windows Admin center, which they would use for process automation.
Integration of RPA Software
Softwarium integrated the third-party software mentioned above and developed the user interface to perform the needed actions. This solution allowed the login data from the enterprise security vault to be securely transferred to the customer. We created a plug-in for the RPAs that the customers can use to access the data, and customers could also launch their RDP inside ConnectWise. Without such integrations, the customers would need to access the enterprise secret vault and copy and paste the credentials manually.
All of the technologies mentioned: Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, ConnectWise, and Windows Control Center were four separate integrations designed to service four independent clients. While each software takes the information from the secret enterprise vault and delivers them to the customers, the RPA software does this via robots while the other software requires specific code to be written. The particular tools that will be used were communicated directly from the client.
